MU60 THE RETURN OF GRANAMYR

The "Centaur" is a really interesting character created by Filmation that only appear in MU60 episode. Being a mitological figure he fit perfectly in the world of Eternia and it's a pity Mattel never made him as a toy.
I like his design: he got an armour just like a knight, but the horse is of course himself!
so enjoy the good and brave Centaur!!

We are now inside one of the most secret places on Eternia,,neither the Sorceress is allowed to tell He-Man where is Mount Dark Smoke and the Castle of Granamyr!
He-Man and Man-at-Arms are inside what look like a huge treasure chamber full with all kinds of things: flags, statues, coffers, vases, weapons ecc ecc. I really like this background and somedays I hope to find at least a laser photocopy to add to my cel..
As you can see the cel set-up is missing Granamyr's lower jaw :^( but, people, is so nice to have a group cel with the most famous dragon on all Eternia ;^) !

"The Return of Granamyr"episode begin with a training between Adam and Man-at-Arms. The scene is well animated with good drawings..here is a cel of Adam in a nice pose just in front of the camera.

MU60 THE RETURN OF GRANAMYR

In this scene (sc65) we can see some main character of episod MU60 "The Return of Granamyr": the evil wizard Zen, the good wizard Brindle and his daughter Lyra.
All of the 3 moldes are used in other episodes of He-Man series but now the only one I can recall is Zen that previously appeared in the episode "A Friend in need" as Jarvan with a different color scheme.

Here is one of my most favorite cel, Granamyr and Torm together!
I'm so happy to have some Granamyr cels in my collection that still now I can't belive it :^)
it's already so good to have an He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cels and drawings collection, but even have some Granamyr ones is the top.
I always loved -as a kid and now of course- the dising of the Dragon: his 'short' snout,that tiny helmet on ;^) and the way his mouth is animeted in the series, specially his lower jaw movements.
Here comes GRANAMYR the oldest and wisest dragon on all ETERNIA!

The following entry is for Lyra, the human girl Torm fell in love whit.
This model is used 2 or 3 times during the entire He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series but sincerily now I don't remember the exact episodes.
A simple cel that I wanted to post near the Torm one for obvious reasons ;^)

MU60 THE RETURN OF GRANAMYR

"The Return of Granamyr" is mostly known for featuring (of course) the oldest and wisest dragon of all Eternia: Granamyr.
The episode is filled with a lot of new and reused characters but for this entry I will talk about TORM the youngest dragon on Mount DarkSmoke.
He is clearly of the same race of Granamyr: his body is pink, he got horns and the eyes are yellow. I really like his design specially is long face/mouth.
In this cel and almost all of his appearence in the episode he got a cute expression because of course he is in love with a human female; again the drawing (fullfilled of Filmation style) is fantastic!

MU51 CITY BENEATH THE SEA

Here we can see the aquatican crowd finally freed from Mer-Man's spell!
Those people are a little funny (specially the women whit their kerchief) and is courious how they have a fish face instead of a humanoid type like Nami or Shelador have. Anyway I think this is a good choice taken from Filmation artists because they fit perfectly in the Eternian world.

MU51 CITY BENEATH THE SEA

In 'City beneath the Sea' episode He-Man have to face two big monsters to solve his daily quest..
The first monster is the Lorbos wich is a little funny to be a threat..
The second is the 'Coral Monster' wich is much impressive and serious ..He is a huge purple humanoid monster whit some coral on his head. The final model used in the episode is a little simplified than the one designed by the layout artist but is still full of Filmation style!
