MU62 GOLDEN DISKS OF KNOWLEDGE

Golden Disks of Knowledge is a great episode for many reasons, and one of them is the presence of the famous Cosmic Enforcer Zodac ! Here you can see a cel of him, sitting in his chair..a space-time vehicle inturduced in the MotU story by Filmation.
By looking at the drawing (you can see a lot of blue pencil lines and some corrections on the base of the chair) it seems the artist worked directly on the layout to draw out the final drawing.

PP60 ANCHORS ALOFT part 2

Here you can see what I found inside the folder of pp60 sc112: two really nice concept layouts...I was always happy when I found this kind of art inside the folder I was buying on ebay several years ago because it wasn't stated on the auction description the actual contents of the various folders.
Again I really like this kind of animation art and someday I hope to find out who is the artist who drew these.

PP60 ANCHORS ALOFT part 2

OK, today we have our first She-Ra Princess of Power series entry!
Let's start with episode "Anchors aloft" part 2 ( PP60 ) featuring the all new Filmation character Admiral Scurvy!
Love the disign of this character: metal headplate, eyepatch, red eye everything on a Nick Jagger purple face!
and, important thing, he got a pirate pet cat too!! again, thank you all Filmation crew.

About the drawing itself (pp60 sc112 c11 drawing) , it seems that the artist made it directly by follwing and drawing on the layout (see the blue lines under the final pencil ones).

Second entry for episode mu62, this time we have Zanthor dressed whit his original outfit and Orko inside the Snake Mountain searching for the golden disks!
You can see some nice layout drawings and the original photocopy for the construction of the scene ;^)

MU62 GOLDEN DISKS OF KNOWLEDGE

MU62 is an interesting episode because introduce us a new cosmic enforcer! Zanthor who once was a member of the Council of the Wise, was exiled into the spirit world when he sold the Golden Disks of Knowledge to Skeletor. Of course our Heroic Warriors give him a second chance to redeem himself so Zanthor take back the disks and became a Cosmic Enforcer! I like so this story for the great moral of giving people a second chance because, we know, everybody make mistakes! Great Filmation!!
